Gobles runners make All-Conference

   The Gobles track team traveled to Constantine last week for the Southwestern Athletic Conference meet, where 12 teams competed for all conference honors. Saugatuck’s  boys team, with 120 points, and girls team, with 189 points, won the meet.
   Rounding out the top five boys teams were Kalamazoo Hackett (81), Delton Kellogg (75.5), Coloma (72) and Constantine (70.5). Lawton finished in ninth pace with 33 points, and Gobles landed in 10th with 26 points.
   Tiger Jimmy Sandahl was all-conference in the 400m run, winning the race with a time of 52.68 and placing second in the 200m dash with a time of 24.35. Nile Devers made all-conference honorable mention in the 3200m run with his third place finish. 
   “Great work this year! Both Nile and Jimmy are examples of hard work and commitment playing off," said Gobles Coach Marc Kline.
   Following the Saugatuck girls in scoring were Constantine (96), Schoolcraft (70.5), Galesburg Augusta (54) and Kalamazoo Christian (51).  Lawton finished in eighth place with 38 points and Gobles in 10th  with 24.
   The Tigers’ 4x100 relay team of Abby Sandahl, Lyndsey Rynd, Laurel Burke and Michaela Buxton earned all-conference honorable mention by placing fourth with a time of 57.39.
