CHEER: Lawrence coach is proud of her cheer squad’s District performance

   BRONSON - The Lawrence varsity cheer team traveled  to  Bronson last Saturday for District competition.
   Against 11 other teams, the Lawrence girls pulled a 190 in round one and a 159 in round two. Lawrence went out and obtained a record-breaking round three with a score of 279.1. It totaled 628.1 and a seventh place win for Lawrence.
   LHS topped Hartford, Bloomingdale, Quincy, Bronson, and Union City. The top four teams advance to regional competition, which Lawrence just missed by a small difference of 6.86 points.
   The top four spots in order include: Lawton, Lake Michigan Catholic, Gobles and Delton- Kellogg.
   “I am very impressed with the girls this season and I’m proud of all they have done,” said Lawrence varsity cheer coach, Brenda Wright. “They gave it their all and although we are sad to end our season, we can’t wait to come back even better next year!”
