Cribbage Players Needed!
Cribbage is played on Tuesdays at Senior City on 76th Street at 10 a.m.
What is cribbage? According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary; “Cribbage is a card game, usually for two players, in which each player tries to form various counting combinations of cards. Each player receives six cards, and the score is kept by moving pegs on a narrow rectangular board. (There is also a five-card variant, as well as four-hand and three-hand variants.) Cribbage was invented by the 17th-century English poet and Courtier John Suckling.”
The rules of play are simple enough to make cribbage a popular pastime! If you are interested in playing the game OR if you would like to learn how, please call Noreen at (269) 357-7820 to ensure there are enough players.

Canasta/Hand & Foot!
If interested in joining one of our established card groups, such as Canasta or Hand & Foot it is recommended that you have a lesson or two to ensure all rules of the game are understood. Let’s Go To The Movies!
“It Happened On 5th Avenue,” (NR) - Monday, December 10 @ 1:15 p.m.
While rich businessman Mike O’Connor (Charles Ruggles) resides in Virginia, his luxury townhouse in New York City appears vacant. However, in reality, drifter Aloysius "Mac" McKeever (Victor Moore) has been staying there. Mac invites Jim (Don DeFore), an unemployed veteran who has just been evicted from a building owned by O’Connor, to stay at the house without revealing he's squatting. When O’Connor’s daughter, Trudy (Gale Storm), shows up as well, she falls for Jim and tries to help him.

The Gift of Stories!
Friday, December 7 at the Senior City on 76th Street from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., our gifts to each other are our stories.  Let us share our created stories of the season. Some will bring a smile, maybe a tear or an “I remember when.” Come for lunch. Stay for the stories and Christmas cookies. Bring a friend.  Pull up a chair. Give yourself the pleasure of a story being read to you.  Stay for a few stories or the whole program. Also enjoy holiday music performed by The Mardi Sonnette Hand Bell Ensemble lead by Ann Habicht.
