Paw Paw Village Council reviews candidates for appointment to vacant seat

PAW PAW -  At a special meeting Monday night at the Carnegie Center, Paw Paw Village Council members interviewed three candidates for appointment to a seat on the board vacated by the resignation of Trustee Eric Larcinese. The council reviewed letters of interest from Holly Hamilton, Joshua Przygocki, and Alan Wartman at its regular meeting March 16.
Trustees will make their selection during the council’s March 23 meeting, to be held at the Paw Paw Township Hall, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Hamilton said she brings her perspective as a village resident, and business and property owner to the council. She owns H2 Design downtown and is excited about the potential for growth she has discovered here. She is a member of the Downtown Development Authority Board of Directors.
Przygocki currently works for Sen. Aric Nesbitt, and recently purchased a home in town. He said he understands  municipal government and would like to put his experience to work for the community.
Wartman said he would like to help Paw Paw grow yet keep its small town charm. He is the owner of Lakeside Inn and an agent for Golden Star Realty.
Whoever is appointed to the seat now will have to run for election in November to keep it.
