MEGAN DOOLEY OFFERS FREE PERFORMANCE AT LAWRENCE BRANCH
   LAWRENCE -
A free concert featuring professional entertainer and whistler, Megan Dooley, will be held Friday, March 13, at 6:30 p.m. at the Van Buren Conference Center, 490 S. Paw Paw St. in  Lawrence.
   Dooley is a guitar playing, ukulele strumming, whistling Michigan songstress who will bring a mix of torch, swing, soul, R&B, jazz and roots to the stage. “Megan’s performances are a real treat that you won’t want to miss,” said Van Buren District Library Lawrence Community Branch Librarian Anne Cox.
   Dooley was voted the #1 Best of the West Solo Performer by Revue Magazine.
   The event is family friendly, free and open to the public.  It is  sponsored by the Friends of the Lawrence Branch Library, with a grant from VBDL Friends.
   Light refreshments will be hosted by the Friends.  Doors open at 6 p.m.

LIBRARY BOOK DISCUSSION GROUP TO MEET
   GOBLES -
The Gobles Branch Library’s monthly Book Discussion Group will meet on Thursday, March 12, at 5 p.m. at the library, located at 105 East Main Street in Gobles.  The Group will discuss The Year of Reading Dangerously by Andy Miller.
   This book has been described as, “Andy’s inspirational and very funny account of his expedition through literature: classic, cult, and everything in between… a heartfelt, humorous, and honest examination of what it means to be a reader.”
