Paw Paw District Library Notes

    February continues to be a busy month at the Paw Paw District Library, according to Program Manager Donna Dluge. Mondays at 10 a.m. and again at 11 a.m., the library offers Toddler storytime. Also for young children is Mother Goose on the Loose on Thursdays at 10 a.m. with stories, rhymes, and active music play, followed by playtime.
    Tuesday, February 11 at 10:30 a.m. is the first installment of the Heartbreak Book Club. This club will meet regularly on the second Tuesday of each month to discuss many different types of romance novels. February’s discussion will be about “Slammed”, by Colleen Hoover. No registration is required.
    A new seven-week session of Beginning Yoga with Jessica Johnson begins Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. This hour-long class will continue each Wednesday until April 1, with no class the week of March 4. The session is $70 for seven weeks or $12 a class for drop-in.
    Afternoon Arts for teens and tweens returns on Thursday, Feb. 13 from 3 to 4 p.m. Participants will make Valentine crafts to give away or keep for themselves.
    The week at the library concludes with “Write Your Own Obituary,” with Laurie VanderBerg of Joldersma-Klein Funeral Home. VanderBerg has helped many families tell their loved one’s stories. Now she will guide participants in writing their own story. The program is Saturday, Feb. 15 at 11 a.m.
