SO MUCH FUN FOR EVERYONE!

The 35th annual Lawrence Ox Roast & Homecoming, held Labor Day weekend in Lawrence, featured a wide variety of events - the Classic Car Show, a petting zoo, a kids’ pedal pull, and more. Monday’s Ox Roast & Homecoming Parade featured oxen owned by Dale Parsons, who pulled a cart with this year’s royalty. Longtime “ox roast” cookers Harold Conklin, left,  and Charles Moden manned the roaster. Event organizers said over the past 35 years, an estimated 10,000 pounds of beef has been cooked for the Labor Day weekend event.
